YATE - Prolegomenon (audio) (2005)

Prolegomenon is a YATE performance live from a parking lot at 5th Ave. and Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona. In these live electronic improvisations, Rob Kilman and Jason Landers manipulate drum machines, keyboards, and other instruments through a variety of effects processors. The result is music that is simultaneously melodic and noisy. It provides a good document of Yate’s focus on live improvisation, which can also be heard on their releases Phases of Phantoms and The Watching Machine.
